YST conference launched Get Active
February 2010 saw Absolute Discounts attend the Youth Sport Trust conference in Telford to showcase the soon to launch Get Active discount service. With a large number of the countries PDM's and Head of Sports at specialist schools in attendance it was seen as the ideal opportunity to garnish the opinion of those responsible for increasing participation in sport amongst young people in the UK.
Over the two day period we received a large amount of feedback on the Get Active service, much of which was highly positive. The opportunities to roll out the service appear to range from small scale incentives in individual schools through to wider country wide projects to increase participation in sport. Get Active's primary objective is to reduce the cost of participation in sport for school pupils throughout the country, an objective the presentation at the YST conference makes look highly achievable.
